LinkedIn, a business and employment-oriented online service, conducted a study for Bloomberg to locate the biggest cities in the entire United States of America with the highest number of crypto-related hirings.

According to the study, there is no hub around which crypto-related activities are revolving. All the crypto-related hirings are distributed across the entire United States with no single point of attraction for crypto or blockchain specialists in the United States.

LinkedIn searched the entire database of all the users in the US who had posted a new job in the past nine months. The keywords used for the search included crypto, blockchain, Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solidity in the job description. The result was that around 53% of the crypto-related jobs are distributed in small chunks throughout the United States.

LinkedIn data shows that New York and San Francisco lead the pack

According to the data presented by LinkedIn to Bloomberg, the traditional centre of finance, New York and tech-centre San Francisco top the list with the most crypto-related hirings. The reason is simple: the blockchain industry flourishes in the thin line between technology and finance.

The third place was occupied by the land of dreams, Los Angeles, while Miami and Chicago took the consecutive ones. Arranging the facts in terms of population, for every 100,000 LinkedIn members, at least two people were hired for said crypto jobs in Austin, Denver, Raleigh, and Salt Lake City.

It seems that the US cities are also looking to promote Bitcoin adoption as in a recent report by TheCoinRise, New York City Mayor Eric Adams claimed that he wants to make New York a crypto-friendly city. Furthermore, the Mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez, has decided to accept his first three paychecks in Bitcoin, becoming the ‘first US politician to accept payment in Bitcoin.’
