A new CEO for Solana-based blockchain project, Metaplex, has been hired. Adam Jeffries, a former developer that Google was announced on Wednesday as the CEO for the NFT marketplace.
Metaplex partners with Solana Labs to mint and sell non-fungible tokens. The marketplace was launched in the month of June and, since then, has picked up a lot of heat from NFT enthusiasts.
The NFT industry is rapidly growing as Ethereum, Cardano, and Theta Networks compete with each other. Solana Labs achieves to conquer the NFT industry using the Metaplex marketplace. Everyone can make their NFTs on Metaplex as it uses low fees because there is no middleman involved.
Adam Jeffries served at Google, Amazon, Kaggle, and Citadel
The appointment of Adam Jeffries as the new CEO of Metaplex was a strategic move, for he has the experience and the knowledge to expand the NFT marketplace.
While the professional experience of Adam Jeffries is something to admire, he knows more than twenty different coding languages. No one can make it in the blockchain industry if they don’t have the basic knowledge.
In his interview with CoinTelegraph, Adam Jeffires explained that people think that blockchain-based tools are complex and not user-friendly.
His goal is to build less complex and easy-to-use tools that people can actually use. This is what he has dreamt for Metaplex in the near future.
He further added, “building the right tools for people to interface with new technologies is incredibly important.”
New advisory board members
Along with the new CEO, Adam Jeffries, the new advisory board members have also been revealed.
Meltem Demirors, the Chief Strategy Officer for CoinShares will be joining the advisory board along with Audius, a blockchain streaming platform. Furthermore, the Chief Product Officer for Phantom, Chirs Kalani, also came on board. Dylan Macalinao of Saber Labs and the Street Dreams Magazine co-founder, Steven Irby, were also appointed to the advisory board of Metaplex.
Along with all these members, Metaplex also brought the co-founders of Cultur3 Capital on board: Mark Streeter, Alex Yamashita, and Rolf Hoefer.
