Astar Network Receives ‘Product of the Year’ Award in Japan

Astar Network, a provider of infrastructure for building decentralized applications has recently been announced as the winner of the ‘Product of the Year Award’ at the Japan Blockchain Association award. The award now makes Astar the first public blockchain from the country to be listed. Therefore, the Astar token is now a crypto and not a security in Japan.

Astar Network announced the news through its official Twitter page. The news also stated that the Founder and CEO of Astar, Sota Watanabe was also given the award of The ‘Person of the Year’. It is worth noting that the CEO is receiving this award for the second time in a row.

Watanabe gave statements that he is excited to be recognized as the favorite of the Japanese Web3 community. He also pledged his commitment to accelerating Web3 innovation and promised to leverage Astar’s presence in Japan to unlock opportunities for entrepreneurs, developers, and users in the ecosystem.

The CEO was also named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Asia and Japan. He has also been named one of Japan’s top entrepreneurs and appears on the cover of the latest issue of Forbesjapan magazine.

Astar Network is a pioneer in the future of smart contracts. Astar provides the infrastructure for developing dApps with the help of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and WebAssembly (WASM) which offers developers true interoperability with cross-consensus messaging XCM.

Astar Network’s Partnership in Web3

Astar’s thriving ecosystem has established Polkadot as the world’s leading Parachain, with support from all major exchanges.

Astar recently announced that its token (ASTR) has been listed on Binance.US which is now the biggest exchange platform across the globe. Deposits in ASTR were made available to U.S. customers on September 13 while trading on major pairs went live the following day.

In August, Alchemy, a renowned Web3 blockchain company announced a collaboration with Astar Network.

The collaboration will primarily simplify the process of developing decentralized applications on the well-known Parachain Astar Network. This will essentially assist network developers in easily converting their idea into a Web3 project.
