Leading crypto exchange service provider Binance has introduced ‘cryptotourism’ to celebrate World Tourism Day.
Cryptotourism is the first ever crypto-sponsored vacation to show the world how efficient, secure, and simple travel is in a Web3.0 world. Binance plans to give away $50,000 worth of Binance Coin (BNB) to interested participants.
Global Vice President of Marketing at Binance, James Rothwell explained the cryptotourism further.
“Cryptotourism makes global travel easier and more secure for everyone. It’s also an economical choice since there are zero fees, full transaction transparency, and no country-by-country exchange rate issues. The ease of using crypto while traveling is a testament to the incredible mainstream global adoption we are starting to see.”
Top Travel Influencers to Lead Binance Exchange-Backed tourism
To actualize the tourism project, Binance contacted top travel influencers, Lauren Bullen and Jack Morris to team up in collaboration.r
According to Binance, there will be a global scavenger hunt where the $50,000 worth of Binance digital assets will be given out to interested participants who wish to join the tour. The process started on September 27th.
Lauren Bullen and Jack Morris book a flight with crypto using Binance Pay. Binance Pay is a contactless, borderless, secure cryptocurrency payment technology.
Then both Bullen and Morris decide on which hotspots to visit as goods and services to purchase on their trip. During these processes, they will share travel tips and tricks to make a crypto tourism trip a reality for everyone.
The travel influencers will help conceal one Binance Gift Card each at locations of their choice.
Each gift card will be worth $25,000 in BNB to fund crypto tourism trips for two lucky winners who must be followers of the cryptocurrency exchange and travel influencers. Clues will be dropped via Twitter handles of the two travel influencers and on the Binance Twitter page to facilitate and hasten the search process.
Once found, new Binance accounts will be activated, that is if the winner does not already have one. Next, the $25,000 in BNB will be transferred into the account which belongs to the lucky winners.
Similarly, on its 5th anniversary which was held in July, Binance eliminated trading fees on thirteen of its listed stablecoins including BTC/USDT, BTC/BUSD, BTC/USDC, BTC/EUR, and BTC/TRY
