Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs May Be Coming to the Movies

Yuga Labs, the creators of the popular Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collection, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) has signed a representation deal with Guy Oseary, the manager of musical legends U2 and Madonna. Per the terms of the deal, there is an increased possibility of featuring the BAYC collections in advanced creative endeavors including movies, TV, music, and gaming.

According to Guy, the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT is one of the highest-grossing creative artwork this year, but with less prominence, as many people in the mainstream media world do not yet know about the project.

“Many people still have not heard of Yuga, yet they are one of the highest-grossing talents of the year from any artform, including music and film,” says Oseary in announcing the deal, which will see opportunities across media platforms, including film, TV, music, gaming and more. “They are originals, empowering their community of NFT holders by giving them IP rights to their purchased ape, and continually creating ways to add benefits and utility to the purchased artwork. The Apes at Yuga Labs and I have a lot of exciting initiatives for the community and we look forward to sharing them soon.”

Launched in April, there are a total of 101 Bored Apes collections, all trading at a floor price of 37.5 ETH on OpenSea. A number of the Bored Ape collection have sold for high prices, including the 740 ETH acquisition made by the gaming platform, Sandbox back on September 6.

More Ambitious Projects in the Works for Bored Ape Yacht Club

Besides the plans to get featured in movies, Yuga Labs confirmed it has further plans to introduce more projects that will benefit its community in the near future.

“We’re excited to work with Guy Oseary to bring the Bored Ape Yacht Club to a broader sphere,” added Yuga Labs, whose creator-partners’ identity remains unknown to date. “We have many ambitious projects in the works and we’re thankful to have Guy’s expertise as we move the club into this new chapter, for the benefit of the entire BAYC community.”
