Brian Shroder is the new CEO of Binance.US as Brian Brooks quits

Binance.US, in a recent announcement on its website, said that it had appointed Brian Shroder as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a controversial situation for the United States branch of the crypto exchange platform.

Brian Shroder, earlier, was the president of the company. The announcement is a surprise for everyone as the reason behind the resignation of Brian Brooks, the former CEO, is still not revealed. 

The market buzz suggests that the clashing point of view of the two about the public listing of Binance.US could be the reason behind it.

Brian Shroder aiming for IPO

After being appointed as the new CEO, Brian Shroder said that he is aiming to publicly list the company or achieve Initial Public Offering (IPO), which the former CEO had no interest in.

They make it evident that the two have different views regarding the public listing of Binance.US.

Brian Shroder further added that he believes that the company has great potential as he has been in the front seat of the company management for a long time. He has actively participated in the company’s legal department, human resources, and corporate relations.

The company also declared that it had appointed Eric Segal as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the US branch of the company. Joshua Sroge, the previous CFO, has also left the company.

Brian Brooks’ resignation seems fishy to industry

The company’s US office says that it does not follow its parent company as it is only working for US citizens and institutions. However, the company is facing massive regulatory pressure these days as Brian Shroder takes over.

Binance banned all its crypto derivatives for Europe, Hong Kong, and recently South Africa. As the pressure increased, it also closed all its offerings related to leveraged tokens for these nations.

However, Changpeng Zhao, the company’s CEO, finds this pressure as a good sign for the industry as it is a good sign for its adoption in the long term.
