Cardano, the world’s third-biggest crypto by market cap, has chosen Chainlink and Dish Network as new partners. While plenty of partnerships are being made in the crypto industry, this partnership deserves a special mention. Recently, Billy Gibbons also announced that he would be releasing his NFT collection on Cardano.
In a recent announcement by the founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, it was clear that he had planned something big with Dish Network and Chainlink. Charles is also the co-founder of Ethereum, who left Ethereum after a falling out with Vitalik Buterin.
The partnerships with Chainlink and Dish Network
Currently, Ethereum is still is the second biggest cryptocurrency, but Cardano is the nearest competitor. Dish Network is a telecom service provider that will now use the Cardano blockchain. After the integration of the Cardano blockchain in its telecom business, the goal of the Disk network is to provide digital identity services.
The parent company for Cardano is Input Output which has confirmed a partnership with Chainlink. Chainlink is a blockchain oracle network that is built on the Ethereum network. The parent company took to Twitter to announce that they will partner with Chainlink to help the Cardano blockchain developers create smart contracts.
The rising popularity of smart contracts and the increasing number of DeFi applications is a reason why this partnership has been formed.
