Crypto Exchange Ripio To Open Services In Florida

A cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in Buenos Aires, Ripio, has confirmed plans of expansion to the United States.

Ripio, a cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in Buenos Aires, is making its maiden voyage to the United States in Florida.

The company, which has 4.5 million customers and has been in operation for  a decade, has already obtained regulatory licence to conduct business in the state with Ripio Select. The offering is geared toward individuals who have a high net worth, as well as companies and other types of institutional investors. 

Over 600 customers are already using Ripio’s services in this region. A minimum investment of $5,000 is required to begin utilising the Ripio Select premium service, which is designed for large-scale cryptocurrency activities.

Sebastian Serrano, CEO and co-founder stated: “We chose Florida because it is a very interesting crypto hub and we believe our products like Ripio Select have a lot of potential,”

Miami Becoming A Crypto Hub

Miami has been making strides to position themselves as leaders in the cryptocurrency business. In the early months of this year, Governor Ron DeSantis approved a bill that will define cryptocurrency and begin deregulating it on January 1. 

Additionally, In July, the Mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez, gave an interview to the Miami Herald in which he stated that he is still committed to turning Miami into a cryptocurrency capital.

Crypto Growth In Latin America

Notably, in the month of August, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, Binance, made the announcement that it would be partnering with the multinational financial services giant Mastercard for its lineup of credit cards, with the intention of launching a prepaid cryptocurrency card in Argentina. 

According to the declaration made by the relevant authorities, Argentina is now the first country in Latin America to have a Binance prepaid card.
