Dogecoin Co-Founder Keen on Ethereum Bridge to Doge and NFT Markets

Dogecoin co-founder, Billy Markus, has explained how greatly beneficial, an Ethereum bridge to the Doge network, would be for the dogecoin ecosystem. Speaking on Wednesday, Markus also thinks that compatible non-fungible token (NFT) markets would also be quite helpful to the Dogecoin.

Dogecoin Co-founder Has 2 Ideas For the Doge Network

Having gained an unexpected 7,500% in the last one year, the popular crypto asset dogecoin (DOGE) reached an all-time high of $0.731 per unit on May 8, 2021. However, since that time, DOGE has seen the tides turn, and is now down 72% since that high and also down 25.4% in the last one month.

While Billy Markus is full of positivity when speaking about crypto, another Dogecoin co-founder, Jackson Palmer, has other things to say about the crypto world, claiming that the industry is run by powerful cartels.

On Wednesday however, Markus tweeted extensively about the Dogecoin crypto network he helped in creating, and gave two ideas which he thinks might help the project.

Firstly, Markus suggested the completion of the Dogecoin↔ Ethereum bridge. And secondly, he added that NFT markets like Opensea, should support the DOGE-ETH token by allowing the tokens to be used for purchases on their platforms.

He quickly noted that it’s only a perfect time to do this seeing as NFT purchasing is presently in such high demands with crypto. Therefore, he believes that allowing for DOGE purchases of NFTs greatly widens its use.

Ongoing Talks About the Dogecoin↔Ethereum Bridge

Markus is not alone in this line of thinking however. Recall that in the first week of September, the co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin had suggested the same.

At the time, Buterin clearly shared his hopes that doge could switch to PoS soon, using Ethereum code.

Meanwhile, Markus’s idea of an ETH ↔ DOGE bridge and NFT utility is receiving some support. A Twitter user responded to the Dogecoin co-founder’s tweet confirming how hugely beneficial the implementation of this bridge, would be to the community.
