F1 team Red Bull revealed its the last collectible in its NFT collection

Red Bull Racing Honda, the popular team in Formula One, an international class of highly prestigious racing competition, entered the NFT industry, capitalizing on the market sentiment and the huge fanbase of the team. The NFT collection was a celebration of the 2021 Mexican Grand Prix, and especially star racer Sergio “Checo” Perez.

The Red Bull racing firm partnered with Tezos for the celebration and released the last digital asset to its collection, a limited edition NFT of the 2021 ‘RB16B’ in Perez’s signature livery. The NFT collection introduced a few days back is titled ‘Red Bull Racing Collectibles.’

Other NFTs in the collection are based on the theme of Mexican Grand Prix 2021, excluding the RB16B, including Perez’s race suit and helmet along with the racing gear of another Red Bull racer Max Verstappen, the youngest driver to compete in Formula One. Moreover, the Formula One team released Perez’s special edition helmet NFT to the early birds for free in their recent giveaway.

Red Bull is not the only F1 team

Red Bull made Tezos its official blockchain partner back in the month of May, turning tables for the entire Formula One racing industry. The deal was signed for a number of years, indicating that we might see many more such collections in the near future.

Following the footsteps of Red Bull, McLaren also decided to partner with Tezos. In June 2021, McLaren revealed on its Twitter, “McLaren will use the energy-efficient and upgradeable Tezos network to create a series of non-fungible tokens (NFT) across F1, INDYCAR, and esports.”

The collection was titled ‘McLaren Racing Collective’ will give fans a chance to collect the components building up the MCL35M 2021 F1 race car. 

Another thing common between McLaren and Red Bull Racing Honda was that the respective inaugural NFT collection from the teams was released through the Sweet NFT platform, adding support for Tezos just this month.
