Is Tesla adding Shiba Inu as a payment option?

Tesla comes back to headlines when the whole crypto market speculates the introduction of Shiba Inu payment options for the company. The backend payment processing program reveals the mention of Shiba Inu and Bitcoin under the banner code. Currently, it is not open for use by the general public.

As per the common understanding of any developer, most backend code is used for payment method enabling. Therefore, market experts speculates that Tesla has plans to use Bitcoin and Shiba Inu as one of their payment methods.

Tesla, Musk, and DOGE

Tesla Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Elon Musk, also known as “Dogefather,” could bring a storm in the market if he actually adds SHIB to Tesla. Earlier today, Elon tweeted supporting his favorite DOGE by announcing that his university, Texas Institute of Technology & Sciences, will accept payments in Dogecoin while receiving payments for the tuition fees.

He further added that the students with dogs would get a special discount. However, the tweet was not helpful for the coin to surge as DOGE only experienced a slight increase as the market was moving up. The DOGE’s unresponsiveness might become a reason for him to shift his attention to SHIB. 

As TheCoinRise reported, Musk recently said DOGE “People’s crypto,” but Tesla’s attention might be shifting toward SHIB, or as the famous whistle-blower Edward Snowden calls it, “Clone of dog money.”

Snowden recently brought the matter to Twitter by posting against the Shiba Inu frenzy and added Dogecoin to the roast. He called DOGE “Dog money” and referred to SHIB as “CLONE of the dog money.” 

Snowden further expressed his doubts on whether the CLONE would bring any fortune to its meme coins community. He, in a separate tweet, expressed that people are ready to buy “any garbage they want. He added that it is a shameful situation to see investors getting manipulated like this.
