High-profile crypto class action lawyer Kyle Roche has officially resigned from Roche Freedman and has started his own law practice. The legal firm that Kyle Roche co-founded now operates as Freedman Normand Friedland in partnership with Edward Normand and Amos Friedland.

News of Roche’s new firm was revealed in a filing submitted to the court by Celsius Network in regard to its bankruptcy process. “Please take notice that Jason Stone and KeyFi, Inc. hereby notify the Court and all parties of record that Kyle W. Roche, who is admitted to practice in this court, is now associated with Kyle Roche P.A,” the filing stated

Notwithstanding his exit from Freedman Normand Friedland (formerly Roche Freedman), Roche will continue to represent his client in the bankruptcy process. Before this time, Kyle Roche had been at the center of an unusual hidden camera scandal. His woes began when whistleblower Crypto Leak posted a series of videos that incriminated Kyle Roche.

Crypto Leaks Shares Kyle Roche Scandalous Videos

In these videos which were made unknown to Roche, he was seen to be having a discussion with blockchain development firm Ava Labs, prompting the latter to adopt “the American legal system gangster style to attack and harm crypto organizations.” Also included in these videos were recorded statements from Kyle which levied Ripples with accusations.

The claims made by Crypto Leaks via the video were denied by both Ava Labs and Roche Freedman.

According to Roche, the video was made without his consent while he was intoxicated. He also claimed that the video was heavily edited and taken out of context. With the heat of the situation, he decided to stay off crypto lawsuits pending when the dust settles on his scandal.

He no longer handled crypto cases involving firms like Tether and Bitfinex, Tron, and BitMex while still involved in Celsius Network’s bankruptcy process. While his decision seemed reasonable, it had done huge damage to Roche Freedman as the legal firm was removed from one of its highest-profile cases against Bitfinex and Tether.

Although Roche Freedman tried to convince defendants in the Tether class action that Roche had been taken off from the class action group and forfeited any financial interests in the cases he once led. All its requests yielded no positive result, the firm was still replaced.
