London-based luxury fashion house Burberry has unveiled its second NFT collection with Mythical Games in its flagship title, Blankos Block Party. The announcement also reveals the company’s plans to open a bespoke social space within the game for players to offer a “unique virtual experience.”

Burberry’s new NFT collection
The limited-edition NFT collection, Burberry Blanko NFT, will be launched on June 22. It features a unicorn named Minny B. The collection is inspired by the company’s Animal Kingdom house code and is draped by the new TB summer monogram.
Burberry-branded in-game accessories, such as boomboxes, TB sliders, lucky horseshoe necklaces, and a ‘Shellphone,’ a seashell-inspired mobile phone accessory, are all part of the new NFT collection, which users can add to their online accessories’ virtual portfolio. Blankos Block Party players who own Sharky B, Burberry’s first NFT character, will also receive a free Monogram bucket hat accessory, which will be available in the coming weeks.
Burberry has created a cabana-style resort named ‘The Oasis,’ a futuristic haven furnished with elements from nature, for its own social space within the game.
The vice president of channel innovation at Burberry, Rachel Waller, said that the company is super excited “to partner once more with Mythical Games to bring our brand, values and creative spirit to communities around the world.” She adds:
“Luxury is an industry built on fantasy and expression, so, in many ways, gaming is a canvas perfectly suited to bringing these dreams to life. The metaverse provides limitless opportunities to flex our imagination and connect with our customers in richer ways, and we’re excited to continue to experiment in this space.”
The NFT industry has seen a massive boom in the past few years. As TheCoinRise reported on June 10, American financial services giant Mastercard partnered with crypto startups to enable NFT purchases. Last week, convicted socialite Anna Sorokin announced her debut into the NFT world.
