Mila Kunis is behind a new adult, animated series powered by NFTs

Mila Kunis is behind the new animated show powered by NFTs and this is another effort from the well-known actress to bring the blockchain and the cinema industry together. The show describes itself as “South Park Meets WWE” and comes after the previous NFT venture of the actress called Stoner Cats.

The Stoner Cats revolved around the story of five house cats who mysteriously become sentient. On the other hand, the second show that Mila Kunis is set to debut is called The Gimmicks which is based on a few washed-up wrestlers who try to regain their social status and battle several issues that come their way.

As per the report from CoinMarketCap, the Gimmicks will allow viewers to participate in the show and develop the storylines as well the characters. This will be done by the owners of the NFTs from the collection who will have the privilege to decide the future course of the show. This is a very interesting concept that the A-list celebrity has come up with. 

Luke “Doc” Gallows, Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson, FKA Enzo Amore, and Rocky Romero will be participating in the show. Web3 animation studio Toonstar and Sixth Wall, a blockchain entertainment company which is backed by Mila Kunis, are coming together to bring this show to life. 

Free-to-mint NFTs

As per the report, the goal is that the NFTs reach the “crypto curious” and hence, the minting of these blockchain-based tokens will be absolutely free of cost. Moreover, the NFTs will be available via The Gimmicks website on March 18 and people can take advantage of the same. Expressing her excitement on the same, Mila Kunis said: 

“Toonstar absolutely gets the ridiculously fast nature of creating in Web3. They are able to make animation at unprecedented speed while also managing creative community elements; I can’t wait for people to come and engage in the fun.”

Cinema’s role in the crypto adoption has been continuously rising. Recently, as TheCoinRise reported, AMC Theatres started accepting cryptocurrencies for buying gift cards on its platform.
