Multiverse Labs Collaborate With Emirates’ SCTDA to Launch Metaverse City

The use cases of the metaverse which have been seen over the years have been quite enormous.

The creation of a virtual lounge by JPMorgan, and McDonald’s virtual restaurants as well as the construction of Etihad stadium by Manchester City are a few of the projects on the metaverse. Multiverse Labs has just achieved a major milestone on the metaverse too.

Artificial intelligence ecosystem Multiverse Labs collaborated with the Sharjah government agency responsible for their commercial and tourism sectors Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) to launch a new metaverse city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is believed that this will bring about a new generation of metaverse tourism for the emirate of Sharjah and boost the region’s tourism industry.

The metaverse city has been named Sharjahverse in connection to the city after which it was designed.

Shajahverse is designed to have both economic and social amenities portraying a real-time city, unlike anything that has ever been created. Interestingly, Sharjahverse is the world’s first government-backed metaverse city available to the public.

Multiverse Labs described the city as a “photorealistic, physics-accurate” metaverse that is designed to showcase the 2,590 square kilometers of the Emirates which is approximately 1,000 square-mile surface area. Sharjahverse will promote the emirate as a destination for excellence by unlocking innovation, commerce, and imagination at a significant scale.

In addition to boosting the tourism industry in the emirate, this new milestone will create metaverse jobs for employees at the iconic sights in Sharjah. 

Multiverse Labs Boost Emirate Tourism With Simulation 

Generally speaking, Multiverse Labs specializes in such recreation including simulations services and Artificial Intelligence (AI) optimization, it also goes as far as creating avatars to resemble actual people.

The Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa acknowledged Multiverse’s advanced technological approach.

“Transforming the mass market tourism industry towards next-generation, sustainable practices requires a new way of thinking. Virtual tourism in Sharjahverse will provide unprecedented access to almost any location, personalized guest experiences, and enhanced entertainment. Multiverse’s groundbreaking and AI-driven approach will help push the limits of imagination and promote Sharjah as a destination of excellence,” he said.
