On its 31st anniversary, MacDonald’s China plans to distribute 188 NFTs

MacDonald’s branch in the country of China plans to distribute around 188 non-fungible tokens as a part of the 31st-anniversary celebrations. The franchise has decided to distribute these tokens as a symbol of loyalty and appreciation and is available for employees and customers. 

The title of this non-fungible token is “Big Mac Rubik’s Cube,” considering that Big Mac is very popular worldwide. The giveaway aims to celebrate the 31 years that MacDonald’s has been in China. The structure of the NFT is symbolic rather than just being a coincidence. 

It is to be noted that MacDonald’s China has opened a new headquarters in the nation. This new building is made in 3-D style. As a result, the “Big Mac Rubik’s Cube” giveaway was followed by the unveiling of this new office. 

MacDonald’s NFT build on Conflux

The Conflux Network has become one of the most popular and go-to destinations for NFT creators. Together with Cocafe, Conflux built the 188 “Big Mac Rubik’s Cube,” which will only be given to the employees and customers in China.

The goal was to build each and every token in such a manner that “each work is unique, indivisible and can not be tampered with.” 

China’s Crypto crackdown doesn’t affect blockchain adoption 

Conflux is actually the blockchain project approved by the Chinese government. We have also seen that Conflux is gearing up for the launch of offshore Renminbi, a stablecoin.

The CITIC Group is one of the major stakeholders in MacDonald’s China. Making the scenario even clearer is the fact that the People’s Republic of China owns this firm. While the government of nations has been actively banning crypto-related activities, including crypto investment, in the nation, such projects seem to have no effects. 

Multiple blockchain-based services providers are now leaving the nation and cutting their ties with their Chinese customers. Whether this step leads to blockchain adoption in China is yet to be seen.
