Real estate platform Pacaso has started accepting crypto assets as a means of payment via BitPay. The company made the announcement, following Bitcoin smashing a new all-time high on Wednesday 20th. According to Austin Allison, CEO of the real estate firm, the move is in line with the growing trend across the real estate industry. He also admitted that the rate at which crypto adoption is increasing in the industry, is what necessitated the move.

Pacaso to Support Crypto Payments, As CEO Insists ‘Mass Crypto Adoption Well Underway’

Pacaso is a real estate platform co-founded by Spencer Rascoff and Austin Allison. Rascoff and Allison had come together to co-found the company in October 2020. The company is well known as a real estate platform that makes it quite easy to own a second home by leveraging a shared kind of ownership. Although Pacaso’s business model shares a similar outfit to the timeshare model, it’s still different in a number of ways.

But now, the firm is ready to start accepting crypto assets as form of payments, via BitPay, the Atlanta-based digital currency payment platform.

Co-founder and CEO of Pacaso, Austin Allison has revealed that every time his firm gets into a conversation with prospective second-home buyers, a crypto payment option is always cropping up. And seeing as it is now, that the company is expanding on the international front, he’s more than excited that the firm will be honouring the customer demands by extending as many payment options as possible to them.

Pacaso customers can now buy their second homes using Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Dogecoin (DOGE) and many other digital currencies. Also, they can use five USD-pegged stablecoins, according to the company announcement.

Meanwhile, Pacaso is not the only big firm jumping into the moving train of companies accepting crypto payment options. Recall that we reported about the Venezuelan Airport receiving crypto payments for flights fees. We also mentioned here at TheCoinrise just a week ago, when Wix merchnants listed 12 cryptocurrencies that it would be accepting.
