The company modified its Twitter bio and website to promote its new vision of starting and promoting a DeFi project, which left a considerable chunk of enthusiastic Crypto Twitter users scratching their heads in amazement.

Despite no official announcement floating in the space, RadioShack’s updated Twitter bio sends a clear message: The company now wants to make a big entrance into the decentralized finance industry.

As per the new Twitter bio for the hundred-year-old organization, the company’s goal is to bring cryptocurrency to the general public. In its new mission statement, RadioShack says it wants to “be the first protocol to bridge the gap in mainstream usage of DeFi.”

The official website of the giant has been redesigned to focus on RadioShack Defi. The new DeFi service will begin with a Swap, fueled by the Atlas USV token, which will soon be available for purchase (an acronym for Universal Store of Value). To accomplish this, a mechanism of constant input of third-party tokens to the DEX is being developed, with these tokens being exchanged for discounted USV Tokens.

NFTs are also included in the vision

These days, many big names, including Adidas, are launching their NFT collection under the NFT craze. RadioShack on its official website, stated that it has joined hands with Modell’s Sporting Goods, The Franklin Mint, and many other big names to release its tokens, which can now be easily purchased on the NFT Opensea marketplace.

There are 74 assorted pieces in the collection with the inclusion of drawings by Alex Mehr, the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The collection also includes some 3-dimensional patterns, vehicle photos, sport-themed photographs, and many other designs.

Previously, as TheCoinRise reported, the luxurious brand Jimmy Choo also released its first-ever NFT collection on the Binance NFT platform.
