TikTok NFT series ready for auction starting today

The well-known short video collection application, TikTok, has finally launched its first Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) series named “TikTok Top Moments.” The company is ready to roll up its first collection today, auctioning at 6.4 ETH at the moment.

The NFT includes a video clip of the viral tune “Bored in the House” by Curtis Roach, Detroit rapper. It also features the rapper jamming to the popular tune along with an animated city layout.

TikTok, earlier in October, announced its plans for the release of the first-ever NFT series “TikTok Top Moments.” The video collection giant added that it would auction tokenized versions of its viral and most memorable moments by TikTok creators.

The NFT collection also includes six “Culturally significant” videos of viral creators. Curtis Roach’s “Board in the House” is one of the six features and is currently live for the auction. 

The other upcoming NFTs feature Rudy Willingham, FNMeka, Gary, Lil Nas X, Bella Poarch, Jess Marciante, and Brittany Broski. These creators will work with the leading NFT artists to bring limited-edition NFTs. TikTok has included x0r, Grimes, RTFKT, COIN ARTIST, and many more for designing these NFTs.

TikTok partners with Immutable X

TikTok has opted for Ethereum blockchain for auctioning and has partnered with a carbon-neutral Layer-2 scaling solution and service provider, Immutable X. 

The new NFT collection is aiming to become an additional revenue generator for the creators and NFT artists. This will also bring more audience to the performers, thus, strengthening the bond between the creators and audience.

Nick Tran, the company’s market head, recently said that this initiative will drive TikTok culture beyond the platform, supporting their favorite and viral creators. He added that through NFTs, creators will own a moment on TikTok which will shape the internet in a better way. He expresses his excitement by saying that the company hopes for huge engagement among NFT communities.
