The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has made a huge leap towards blockchain acceptance. The popularity of cryptocurrencies is something that every nation is trying to capitalize on. But the absence of proper legal architecture has held back the nations from getting into blockchain.

The utility token that the members of the Tourism Authority of Thailand are trying to create will be named the TAT token. The TAT token will have to go through a rigorous process of obtaining approvals from multiple legal authorities. Without approval from monetary authorities in Thailand, the Tourism Authority of Thailand won’t be able to release the token.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is in talks with monetary authorities

The TAT was discussing its plans with the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The two bodies sought to discuss the possibilities of creating a digital token that doesn’t involve the speculative traits of trading. The real issue is the transfer of value which is still under discussion.

According to the governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, there are plenty of opportunities that blockchain-based cryptocurrencies provide. Yuthasak Supasorn said that he firmly beliefs that cryptocurrency holders can be attracted using the TAT coin. The TAT coin will boost the influence of Thailand among crypto traders and holders.

Long term goals

According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the long-term aim of the body is to partner up with Bitkub. Bitkub is the country’s local crypto exchange

The partnership will make the TAT token accessible on the Bitkub platform for buying, selling, or holding. There is a chance that NFTs might also come into the picture in the near future once the token is approved.
