UFC NFTs set for release in collaboration with Crypto.com

Crypto.com, a crypto services provider, has a number of projects lined up for implementation. In a recent announcement, the firm revealed a collaboration with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). With this partnership, the sports association will enter the world of non-fungible tokens or popularly known as NFTs.

While many football and soccer-based NFTs have already been released, the mixed-martial-arts and kickboxing firm will also capitalize on the same. An NFT collection by UFC titled “UFC 268 Packs” will be released on Thursday, 4th November.

“This drop includes 2,999 NFTs that vary in rarity, featuring limited-edition shards, posters, and a belt plate based on UFC 268. Collectors will be entered into the UFC 268 Collection Sweepstakes to win UFC gift cards, Fight Pass subscriptions, and more,” said the Crypto.com blog.

UFC joins the NFT bandwagon

As mentioned in the release, the entire NFT will feature about 2,999 collections which will depict fight night paintings, event posters, championship belts, fighter personas, and avatars. These tokenized versions will provide a whole new level of experience for the fans. 

The release of “UFC 268 Packs” will be featuring the upcoming bout “UFC 268: Usman vs. Covington 2,” which will represent belt designs and posters. The sale will be held on the Crypto.com NFT marketplace and will last “as long as the supplies last.”

With a fanbase of over 625 million, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is one of the biggest sports associations on a global scale. Since its inception, a number of memorable fights have been witnessed in the squared ring. Whether certain memorable moments from the past will be released is currently unclear but is certainly a possibility. 

Back in the month of July, Crypto.com and UFC signed a sponsorship deal that was worth $175 million, and although the terms of the deal were not disclosed at that time, the time duration of the deal is probably 10 years. In our previous reports, Crypto.com has turned into a top-rated blockchain.
