VanEck is Launching Community NFT in Partnership With NUMOMO

United States Asset Management firm, VanEck has announced the launch of its Community Non-Fungible Token (NFT) as a way to re-emphasize the broad utility of the emerging asset class.

As announced by the asset manager, there are a total of 1000 NFTs that is designed as a digital membership card that will be airdropped to the first thousand applicants that show interest in the collection.

The VanEck NFT is the very first of related collections that was floated by an asset manager and it seeks to tell the story of the past, present, and future of finance drawing on the story of Alexander Hamilton. The NFTs are resident on the Ethereum blockchain network.

“We’ve designed the VanEck Community NFT to function like a digital membership card, providing NFT holders with exclusive access to a wide range of events, digital asset research, and the insights of an inclusive community of digital assets enthusiasts and investors,” said Matthew Bartlett, VanEck Community NFT Co-Founder.

There are three categories of the VanEck Community NFTs including 750 Common, 230 Rare, and 20 Legendary. Each of these NFTs have their inherent access levels that the holders benefit from.

“Since NFTs first emerged as a means to showcase compelling digital art, we haven’t overlooked that part of the equation either. Our NFTs will all feature eye-popping 3D avatars and narrative-style videos that will help create a real sense of story and spur discussion, debate and community. Our character ‘Hammy’ is going to be an outstanding guide for anyone interested in seeing the past, present and future of finance unfold,” added JP Lee, VanEck Community NFT Co-Founder.

Growing NFT Influence

The influence of NFT is growing at a very fast pace and is being adopted by a wide range of brands around the world. While Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) remains a very prestigious collection with its newly launched Otherside metaverse, a number of consumer brands including Budweiser, Adidas, and Dolce & Gabbana have also floated their own exclusive NFT collections to tap into the broader metaverse hype.

The VanEck Community NFT is a means to align with the growing trend and was brought to life with the help of NUMOMO, a South Korean NFT project developer.
