Visa Launch ‘Master of Movement’ on Crypto.com for FIFA World Cup

Payment service provider as well as the official payment technology partner of FIFA, Visa Inc has released an NFT piece dubbed Master of Movement.

Visa Master of Movement is a first-of-its-kind hybrid experience featuring a pre-event Non-Fungible Token (NFT) auction and immersive activation for fans at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ which comes up this month.

Andrea Fairchild, the Senior Vice President and Head of Sponsorships at Visa stated “As FIFA World Cup 2022™ approaches, we want to celebrate football, art, and technology through the lens of what makes the FIFA World Cup™ so special – wildly impassioned fans, legendary athletes and for a few short weeks, the ability to bring the world together in a uniquely connected way.”

This Visa Master of Movement features famous goals from five iconic football players who have now been minted into unique NFTs. The five NFTs available to be minted all inspired by the FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ include digital representations of legendary football players Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen, and Maxi Rodriguez.

Fans Become Artists to Create NFTs

These NFTs are currently available on Crypto.com, the official cryptocurrency trading platform sponsor of FIFA. This fusion of football, art, and NFTs will be displayed at the FIFA World Cup in Doha, Qatar.

The auction will take place before the World Cup kicks off and fans who will be attending the tournament will also be given the opportunity to create their digital art. Notably, these eligible fans will create their NFTs in partnership with Crypto.com.

Football fans can now bid for the Visa Master of Movement on Crypto.com as bids have already started for the digital collectibles and will run through till November 8th.

So the fan or collector who ends up with the highest bid for each NFT, will receive his NFTs “in their Crypto.com wallet along with a high-quality printable art file and signed memorabilia from the legendary player featured in the NFT.”

The proceeds from the auction are going to Street Child, a charitable organization that specializes in taking children off the street globally.

Meanwhile, Visa has filed two trademark applications for NFT and Metaverse.
