Hyperliquid’s ecosystem has taken a major step forward with the arrival of native USDC and CCTP V2 on HyperEVM. The upgrade makes the world’s largest regulated stablecoin directly accessible within HyperEVM. This is poised to give developers, institutions, and traders a secure and efficient way to move capital across multiple blockchains.
In a recent X post, Circle announced that native USDC and CCTP V2 are now live on HyperEVM, the high-performance chain within the Hyperliquid ecosystem. USDC’s arrival on HyperEVM introduces direct access to one of the most widely used stablecoins as a native asset.
By using Circle’s system, HyperEVM now gives businesses and traders easy and secure ways to move money in and out through Circle Mint. This helps reduce problems in large transactions and builds trust. Developers can also add USDC directly into their apps on HyperEVM.
From the very first day, big projects like HyperBeat, Across, Felix Protocol, Hyperdrive, Hyperlend, Stargate, and Wormhole started using USDC on HyperEVM. Their quick adoption shows strong trust in the upgrade and points to fast growth for the ecosystem. This launch on HyperEVM came after Sui became the first Move-based blockchain to integrate native USDC in 2024.
The launch also introduces CCTP V2, allowing users to deposit and withdraw from over 14 blockchains into HyperEVM. This upgrade gives traders and institutions new levels of flexibility. This is poised to make it easier to deploy capital where it is needed without relying on clunky third-party bridges.
In practice, this means capital can move into HyperEVM faster and more securely, fueling both decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and trading strategies.
Importantly, USDC on HyperEVM remains separate from the USDC already available on HyperCore. This is to make sure that existing trading flows remain unaffected. As announced, deposits and withdrawals through the HyperCore DEX will continue to route through the Arbitrum bridge for now.
Furthermore, Hyperliquid has confirmed that the next phase will connect HyperEVM directly with HyperCore’s spot and perpetual markets.
The upgrade will make transfers between HyperEVM and HyperCore smooth and efficient. When complete, users will be able to move USDC into HyperCore’s high-performance exchange directly through HyperEVM. This move will further strengthen liquidity across the ecosystem.
The timing of this launch came as PumpFun overtook Hyperliquid in daily revenue. The leading Solana-based memecoin launchpad has now reclaimed its spot as one of the most profitable projects in crypto.
Hyperliquid, now in fourth place, had only recently dominated headlines for its explosive growth in perpetual trading. The addition of native USDC and CCTP V2 shows that Hyperliquid is not standing still and is investing in building deeper infrastructure for long-term competitiveness.
