Ripple Approves $300M Fund to Let Investors Buy Its Shares

Ripple Labs has recently approved a new $300 million investment fund. This initiative, led by VivoPower International, aims to make it easier for large and professional investors to buy shares in Ripple.

This plan places South Korea at the center of Ripple’s strategy to attract more institutional investors.

VivoPower and Lean Ventures to Lead the Fund Structure

As announced, VivoPower International will lead the project. The XRP-focused treasury company will work with Lean Ventures, a well-known asset manager based in Seoul.

Lean Ventures already manages large funds for the South Korean government and private investors. This adds strong credibility to the project and reassures institutions seeking regulated exposure.

Lean Ventures will manage the fund’s daily operations, including investments and compliance. This helps ensure the fund is run professionally and within regulations.

The investment fund will be used mainly to buy shares in Ripple Labs. Vivo federation, the digital asset arm of VivoPower, will be responsible for sourcing and purchase of Ripple Labs shares.

Ripple has already granted written approval for the first batch of preferred shares. This step aligns with Ripple’s broader expansion strategy, including its multi-chain RLUSD plans. Notably, some Korean companies, including K-Weather, have shown interest in joining the fund.

VivoPower Targets $300M Ripple Fund as Shares Jump 13%

VivoPower and its partners are also talking with existing institutional shareholders to raise the full $300 million target for the fund. The company expects to earn at least $75 million over 3 years from management and performance fees.

The fees depend on the fund’s size and performance. If Ripple’s value rises, VivoPower could earn more as the fund’s value increases. Furthermore, VivoPower also plans to buy a 20% stake in K-Weather and has begun reviewing the company.

This step would help VivoPower build a stronger presence in South Korea’s digital asset market. This comes as South Korea is seen as a key market for long-term growth for Ripple and VivoPower.

Following the announcement, VivoPower shares rose 13% to $2.88. Market analysts view the fund as a direct way for investors to gain exposure to Ripple and XRP-linked growth.

Korean Investors Show Growing Confidence in Ripple and XRP

Many Korean investors are very interested in products connected to Ripple and XRP. Many of them actively look for investment opportunities related to the Ripple network.

Recent upgrades to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) have made the network more stable and added new features for decentralized finance. Support for RLUSD on the XRP Ledger by major platforms has also helped build confidence in the Ripple ecosystem.

In addition, regulatory progress has made Ripple more attractive to investors. A key step is Ripple receiving an OCC banking license in the United States. This shows clearer regulatory approval and gives large investors more confidence in the company.
