The US federal government shutdown has frozen progress on many pending ETF applications to be approved by the SEC this month.

Bitwise filed to launch an ETF tracking LINK, marking the first such filing for the crypto oracle platform’s native token in the US. 

Altcoins may not see major gains until approval of new crypto ETF products that extend beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, according to Bitfinex. 

The SEC could soon approve a wave of crypto-related ETFs, potentially igniting what analysts are calling an "altcoin ETF summer." 

The SEC has once again pushed back its decision on a series of ETFs tied to major altcoins, including XRP, Solana, Litecoin, and DOGE.
