BNB Chain has announced a new, open hackathon called BNB Hack, following strong interest in its earlier BNB AI Hack. The latest hackathon is open to developers worldwide and includes four key areas.
These include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Decentralized Social (DeSoc), Decentralized Science (DeSci), and Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN). This initiative aims to help more people use blockchain technology in everyday life.
The new version of the BNB Hackathon was created in response to the success of the last AI-focused edition. Developers can now build and submit projects in any of the four areas. As announced, there is no fixed deadline.
This means participants can work at their own pace. Projects are accepted continuously, and winners are announced every two weeks. This setup is aimed at helping developers grow steadily and keep getting better.
In the AI Track, developers can work on the challenges of the BNB AI Hack. These challenges involve using AI to build tools, apps, or systems that help solve problems on the blockchain. The DeSoc Track is about making better social tools for Web3.
Projects can include social networks, ID tools, or platforms for online communities and groups. The DeSci Track helps create tools for science and research. Projects may include ways to fund research, check for correct results, or protect research ideas.
The DePIN Track focuses on using blockchain technology with real-world services. Projects could share the Internet, computer power, or storage, and help manage real-world things. Winners can receive up to $10,000 and support from BNB Chain and its partners.
Top projects may also be featured on BNB Chain’s official channels and qualify for future funding or marketing help. There are four prize tiers. Projects can move up to higher reward levels as they grow and improve.
Mentorship, feedback, and expert guidance will be offered throughout.
To be eligible, projects must be live on the BNB Chain testnet or mainnet. They should also be new, open-source, and not funded or submitted to other hackathons. Submissions must include a working demo, GitHub link, and video, and use the correct tweet tagging with the appropriate hashtag.
Developers must show that their smart contracts work and are verified. They also need to include clear and easy-to-read documentation. Projects with strong community support, a clear plan to make money, and new ideas will score higher.
BNB Chain will provide developers with tools like guides, bridges, and testnet faucets for opBNB and BNB Greenfield to help them build faster. Regular workshops and mentorship will also be provided. All updates will be shared on official channels.
