Elon Musk, the enigmatic CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has unveiled a solution to combat deepfake scams, generating excitement within the X and crypto communities. Musk referred to a tweet from Community Notes, a feature in the X app. The feature aims to offer corrections to posts and often warns readers about fake or misleading information while providing updates.
As per the tweet, the Community Notes rolled out an update to improve image matching. The tool will show notes on 30% or more X posts that contain identical images. With this initiative, Elon Musk is certain it will make a huge difference in fighting against deepfakes (and shallowfakes). This development aligns with Musk’s ongoing commitment to leveraging technology for positive impact and enhancing digital security.
Improved image matching will now show notes on ~30% more posts that contain similar or identical images.

However, the community’s reaction to Musk’s disclosure has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting widespread recognition of the antidote’s potential significance. Members of the X and crypto communities have welcomed the innovative solution. They recognize the dangers of deepfake scams and see this as a critical measure to protect online integrity.
Under Musk’s leadership, this recent update is part of improvements and changes to the platform’s core experiences. Following his acquisition of the social media company formerly called Twitter, Musk has indicated his plans to turn the platform into a super-app, providing a wide range of services including messaging, social networking, and peer-to-peer payments.
Another plan is to take out traditional banks. Musk envisions that X will cover all aspects of a person’s financial life, from money to securities, thereby mitigating the need for traditional banks.
The renowned investor clarified that none of his businesses will launch a crypto token. He made this revelation to establish his position about the xAI token which has been making rounds. Aside from the rebranded Twitter company he acquired in a $44 billion bid, Musk also manages SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, and The Boring Company.
More recently, is the introduction of the xAI company, which according to the innovative tech billionaire is an institution that will focus on conducting research in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The news triggered an enormous surge in the price of the meme coin xAI Corp (XAI). The price surge made most crypto enthusiasts confuse the coin with being linked with Musk and his xAI startup.
However, one X app user identified as Doge Designer informed the public that the Tesla boss has no affiliation with the token. Musk reiterated Doge Designer’s tweet saying none of his companies will ever create a crypto token.
