International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), an American multinational technology company, is launching a new platform called “Digital Asset Haven.” According to a Bloomberg report, this new platform enables financial institutions, governments, and corporations to create blockchain-based services.

Benefits of IBM’s New Launch

Notably, IBM is working with Dfns, a company that specializes in crypto wallet technology, to develop it. Digital Asset Haven is designed to give institutions a complete solution for issuing tokens.

It will also turn real-world assets into digital versions and use blockchain technology with strong governance and compliance. The platform also meets the rising demand for tokenized products and secure blockchain networks among institutions.

One significant factor driving the launch of Digital Asset Haven is the increasing interest in crypto and token activity. Businesses and governments are looking into the tokenization of various assets, while also seeking improved settlement mechanisms.

The platform also offers an enterprise-oriented interface designed for the creation of tokenization and blockchain-based applications.

By partnering with Dfns, the platform ensures secure key management and wallet infrastructure. This initiative is part of IBM’s strategic approach to cater to regulated entities, such as banks and government bodies.

IBM’s Starling to Revolutionize Quantum Computers

In June, the global technology company announced plans to build Quantum Starling, the world’s first fault-tolerant quantum computer. According to TheCoinRise’s report, this new project is expected to come to light by 2029. It aims to fix quantum computers’ high error rates and the inability to run long, complex programs.

Quantum computers work differently from normal ones. Regular computer use bits, which can be either 0 or 1. Quantum computers use qubits, which can be both 0 and 1 simultaneously. This special ability makes quantum computers very fast, powerful, and efficient. They can solve problems much faster than regular computers, including breaking encryption.

Notably, IBM is focusing on building a fault-tolerant computer that can identify and correct its own errors while running. This makes it more stable and enables it to handle longer and harder tasks.

Investors Plan to Boost Digital Asset Allocations

There is no doubt that more organizations are investing in digital assets. According to State Street’s 2025 Digital Assets Outlook, nearly 60% of institutional investors plan to increase their investments in digital assets over the next year. The report also shows that these investors are becoming more confident in the long-term value of digital assets.

Furthermore, the report notes that the average amount institutions invest in digital assets is expected to double in the next three years. Interestingly, investors are moving beyond just speculation. They include crypto assets in their key investment strategies to gain benefits from innovation and diversification.

The report also points out that clearer regulations and improved infrastructure are helping institutional investors feel more secure about digital assets.
