XRP Ledger (XRPL) has announced the integration of a new feature that facilitates the seamless execution of multiple transactions in a single bundled operation. The protocol plans to include this Batch (XLS-56) feature in the upcoming Ripple version 2.5.0, which is scheduled for release in June.
With this integration, users can manage as many as eight transactions in a single group, utilizing the Batch feature. It accommodates all types of transactions and atomic transaction capabilities. Vet, a popular community validator, highlighted that users can use the update to trade Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs).
Also, XRPL-based projects can leverage the integration to earn more funds. In addition to adding functions, the Batch Transactions amendment enhances how efficiently the network operates and handles transaction logic.
RippleX senior software engineer Mayukha Vadari claimed that the Batch Transactions amendment is already fused into the XRPL codebase, with the launch added to the upcoming Rippled 2.5.0 release. Furthermore, she mentioned that XRPL made this move with the groundbreaking feature to boost the blockchain’s functionality.

Vadari highlighted other new features coming to XRPL before the Ripple 2.5.0 release. These include Account Permission Delegation, which is already being tested on devnet. Multipurpose tokens (MPTs), Credentials, Permissioned Domains, and Dynamic NFTs features were passed for voting but have not been deployed on the mainnet.
Also, Smart Escrows is currently being tested on the WASM devnet.
When the latest iteration of the Ripple system is eventually released in June, it is expected that it will deliver significantly lower memory and bandwidth use for node operators. Precisely, an adjustment to accommodate 10-15% memory savings has been merged and will be included in the upcoming 2.5.0 release.
Generally, the Ripple ecosystem has been expanding through new partnerships, ETF speculation, and growing institutional demand. Now, it is working on a safe, fully on-chain way to use idle XRP, which has led to the development of Xpfinance.
This tool is touted as the first non-custodial lending and borrowing protocol built natively for XRPL.
