Adidas, the iconic sportswear manufacturer, has entered into a partnership with Ethereum NFT collection Doodles to sell virtual swag packs. The collaboration opens opportunities for prospective buyers to claim exclusive physical apparel.
According to the duo’s notice, the exclusive packs will remain available for purchase only until 12 p.m. ET on August 16th. The packs come as singles and bundles. A single pack sells for $4.99, while the bundles, which contain between two and 100 packs, have prices ranging from $8.49 to $374.99, depending on the specific pack chosen.
To appeal to potential buyers, some of the co-branded kits had physical collectibles inscribed with Deysi. Notably, Deysi refers to the digital mascot from the song “Not in the Store” by Pharrell Williams and Coi Leray. The new song has a theme that resonates with the brands’ ideas.
The inscribed collectibles, which include the Deysi tracksuit and Superstar Shoes, have been capped at 200 items. Shoppers who attend the premiere event and purchase packs can win either an ultra-limited Adidas original Deysi tracksuit or the Superstar Shoes.
Interestingly, Williams, the project’s chief brand officer, also plays an important role in an upcoming animated film, Dullsville and the Doodleverse. The Pharrell song is also featured as the soundtrack in the film.
Meanwhile, the project’s creators have launched a membership service known as DoodlesTV. This provides customers who buy an NFT pass with exclusive access not just to music videos but also to other content on the platform.
These passes are available for purchase on the Base, Ethereum layer-2 scaling network. This makes sense, given that Doodles happens to be an Ethereum NFT-based project. The original NFT collection spans 10,000 generative profile pictures and art by Scott “Burn Toast” Martin, featuring a collection of colorful cartoon characters and backgrounds.
According to data by CoinGecko, the market capitalization of Doodle NFT stands at well over $43.5 million. Notably, only 4,198 unique collectors have access to the tokens as holders. Meanwhile, as of the time of writing, the floor price of Doodle stood at 1.67 ETH, representing a 0.3% rise in the past 24 hours.
