Avalanche public blockchain is now supported on Alibaba Cloud, a leading cloud service provider in Asia as well as the subsidiary of Chinese e-commerce juggernaut Alibaba. With this new feature, Alibaba Cloud has now expanded its line of cloud infrastructure technology including the Node-as-a-Service initiatives as well as developer tools.
“APAC’s largest cloud service provider, Alibaba Cloud, has expanded support for #Avalanche! This integration enables developers to easily launch their own validator nodes, with access to @alibaba_cloud’s plug-and-play infrastructure and suite of products,” Avalanche tweeted
Effective immediately, Avalanche clients can now launch validators mode, build products, and store and distribute resources through Alibaba Cloud’s suite of products in Asia. Alibaba allegedly organized a special promotion where Avalanche developers were given a credit line to any of their services.
Also, Avalanche developers will be able to leverage the readily available service of Alibaba Cloud’s plug-and-play infrastructure as a service (IaaS). These developers may use this service to introduce new validators. Some developers may also enjoy other services that Alibaba Cloud offers like computing, storage, and distribution.
This offering is especially for developers who want high resource demands during crucial hours and are willing to boost their products. Markedly, this partnership is a big deal for Avalanche seeing that Alibaba Cloud is the largest Asian cloud service provider in the Asia-Pacific region.
“Alicloud’s infrastructure technology and intelligence tools provide greater access to computing, storage, and distribution resources for anyone to spin up a node on Avalanche, further boosting the decentralization of the network,” Avalanche added
Layer 1 open and programmable smart contracts platform Avalanche is the host of up to 1,200 validators. Together, it processes about two million transactions in a day. Avalanche also powers 1,000 projects amongst which is Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystems like Aave, Curve, BENQi, Sushi, and Chainlink.
Non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace OpenSea recently debuted on the Avalanche blockchain. President of Ava Labs John Wu stated “We listen to our community, and part of our community really wanted to have OpenSea. We have a budding and vibrant creator and NFT community, and they wanted OpenSea as a choice.”
