Color Star Participates in GITEX to Launch its Metaverse Phone

Color Star, a digital technology firm that focuses on the entertainment industry, has announced its intention to participate in the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX).

According to the announcement the company in collaboration with its partners will use the GITEX platform to unveil its first metaverse phone dubbed the “DONO Phone”. The exhibition also presents an opportunity for the company to project its technology and metaverse platform to a larger audience.

Interestingly, GITEX is the largest platform for technology exhibitions in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as well as South Asia.

The event billed for October 10 to October 14 provides a platform for several firms to showcase their latest inventions in different technological aspects including metaverse, web 3.0, Quantum Computing, Blockchain, and also 5G technologies.

Features of Color Star’s DONO Phone

DONO Phone, Color Star’s first foray into the smartphone business is designed with the idea of the metaverse in mind.

With the DONO Phone, the company hopes to lower the entry barrier into the colorful metaverse as its Color World will be preinstalled on each unit allowing users easy access to the metaverse platform. The phone will also provide users easy access to educational content, digital entertainment, and virtual communication all in one place.

While considering user privacy protection, DONO Phone uses a decentralized storage server and a distributed file storage server to protect users from hackers. Also, the company will look to onboard new partners via the exhibition as there will be many high-profile attendees.

Before attending GITEX, the company also participated in the just concluded Dubai Metaverse Assembly to promote its new DONO Phone.

The emerging metaverse

The metaverse, an emerging sub-sector of the cryptosphere has enjoyed advancement in recent times with several firms looking to mark out their territory in the virtual world.

Retail giant Walmart is now looking to promote its brand through the metaverse. With the release of two new Roblox experiences, users can now participate in several new activities and games at Walmart Land and Walmart’s Universe of Play.

Also, American animation giant, The Walt Disney Company is looking to hire a transaction lawyer to investigate the potential of emerging technologies that include the metaverse to work on an accelerated and aggressive timeline.
