FTX welcomes Tennis star Naomi Osaka as its fresh ambassador

Crypto exchange giant is continuously intensifying its efforts on heavy marketing. As per the announcement by the exchange, it has selected the world’s one of the highest-ranked tennis players Naomi Osaka as the latest figure in sports and entertainment to endorse it.

FTX announced on Monday that Osaka is all set to take an equity stake in the exchange and will receive an undisclosed amount of crypto as fees for her endorsement. The company is aiming to bring more females into the space using Osaka’s influence. Talking about the partnership, the tennis star said:

“We have seen the statistics about how few women are part of crypto by comparison, which kind of mirrors the inequality we see in other financial markets. Crypto started with the goal of being accessible to everyone and breaking down barriers to entry.”

Active FTX

FTX, which recently secured a license from Cyprus Financial Market Regulator to operate in Europe, is known for its active partnerships and heavy marketing. It has also partnered with Ukraine along with Kuna and Everstake for launching a crypto donation platform for the country.

In February, the company indicated its plans for the gaming sector by publishing job posts for software developers for its blockchain and gaming unit.

Osaka joins seven-time Super Bowl champion and NFT marketplace Autograph founder Tom Brady, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, and NBA star Stephen Curry as an FTX ambassador. exchange’s logo will be used during her play in the Miami Open, which begins on Monday. She will “creatively direct and produce content” aimed at a global audience, according to the exchange.

Following FTX founder and CEO Sam Bankman-declaration Fried’s during Australian Blockchain Week that the exchange would create an Australian arm, the announcement was made. At the same event, local Senator Andrew Bragg announced that he would introduce laws covering crypto custody, taxation, and the functioning of decentralized autonomous organizations.
