US To Bring 30 Countries Together In Common Fight Against Illicit Use of Crypto— Joe Biden

Seeing as October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, it’s not unexpected that the White House has released a statement by President Joe Biden on the efforts of the government with regards to cybersecurity.

In his explanation, President Biden explained that the U.S. is working closely with nations around the world, including its NATO and G7 allies, to respond to cybersecurity threats. He went on to say that the collaboration will happen this month so as to speed up the process that would see law enforcement collaboration improve, and combat cybercrime— especially those bordering on the illegal use of crypto.

President Joe Biden also noted that his government would be needing the help of every single American and every American company in this process. He highlighted the need to keep digital doors locked and generally do more in building secure technology, while educating consumers on the risks associated with the technologies they buy.

The U.S. president was firm enough in airing his opinions about tightening the security around its cyberspace and wants the same for all nations. He expressed his commitment to seeing to the disruption of ransomware networks, strengthening of cybersecurity, and ensuring to hold accountable those that threaten the security of all nations in the cyberspace.

This is not Biden’s first attempt to stop ransomware attacks. Just last month, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced a set of actions to that effect. And now, the president is hoping to keep up the momentum.
