Juno Restarts Services After Securing Deal with New Custodian

Juno, a provider of financial technology, declared that all services are “again up and running again.” Interestingly, due to problems with its previous custodian partner, Wyre, it had raised the daily withdrawal restrictions earlier in the year. 

The company recently declared that operations had returned to normal due to Zero Hash’s “constant support.” Varun Deshpande, co-founder and CEO of Juno, claims that the new relationship would give users a much more protected platform experience. 

He stated: 

“We are delighted to restart our crypto services in record time with Zero Hash. With Crypto 2.0, we will focus on offering better platform reliability, more coin diversity, and better crypto prices.”  

In addition, the company unveiled a number of improvements, such as free trading fees and enhanced customer service. Additionally, it enabled support for more than 35 digital currencies, including, for instance, Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and Solana (SOL).

Edward Woodford, CEO of Zero Hash, referred to Juno as a “well-intentioned” business and emphasized their joint efforts to restore operations after just three weeks.

Juno’s Issues with Wyre

Notably, Juno briefly stopped allowing customers to purchase cryptocurrencies on its platform in the beginning of January and switched the stablecoins USDC, USDT, and mUSDC to USD automatically. 

Additionally, it revealed issues with Wyre, its former custodian, urging clients to remove their funds or move them to cold wallets. It imposed limitations on customers enabling a withdrawal of not more than 90% of total assets. 

A few days later, Wyre obtained crucial financial assistance from a “strategic partner” and resumed its “normal course of operations.” 

Meanwhile, in December, the banking software for cryptocurrency users introduced Juno Drops, a unique special NFT auction. In order to celebrate the lively world of digital art, the Juno team decided to hold an unique NFT drop each month and auction the most valuable NFTs.
