Crypto trading firm LBank intends to go into partnership with Korean tertiary institution Chung-Ang University to promote Web 3.0 incubation amongst its students.

This is one of the few inclusion strategies that has been noticed amongst top cryptocurrency exchanges. Explicitly, these crypto juggernauts establish a relationship with educational organizations to fast-track their discovery of prospective inventors.

“We plan to collaborate with Chung-Ang University to plan seminars and conferences related to the WEB 3.0 industry, provide educational programs, and support internships to foster talent,” Czhang, director of Lbank Labs confirmed.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by both parties on Thursday, January 12th, LBank is saddled with the responsibility of providing internship training, organizing workshops and lectures on blockchain technology as well as fundraisers and Web 3.0 accelerator programs for startups in the ecosystem. More so, the deal is mutually beneficial to the Seoul-based university and the crypto exchange.

Web3.0, Blockchain Promoted in Educational Institutions

The University is positive that this collaboration will be the birth of many significant innovations that would push mainstream adoption of Web3.0. Go Joong-hyeok, the head of the Link Project Group (LINC 3.0) at Chung-Ang University said, “We will collaborate in various fields with Lbank, which is globalized in the blockchain and crypto industries, to carry out business exchanges.”

Another professor of the institute who is also a director at the Blockchain Research Institute applauds the partnership and cited that “If a company at the forefront of the blockchain industry and two institutions focused on research work together, not only blockchain technology development but also various researches on creative business models will be possible.”

The University of Tokyo is one of the few academic institutions that have shown interest in Web3.0 and blockchain as a part of its curriculum. At the beginning of the second half of 2022, Todai, as the university is popularly known, announced its plans to launch a few educational programs in the Metaverse. The aim was to deal with the issue of a lack of qualified individuals for “digital transformation” and “advanced technologies.”

Women In Blockchain Asia (WIBA) also disclosed the introduction of blockchain programmer courses in seven Malaysian universities. Notably, these WIBA blockchain programs are focused on women.
