In an announcement this Tuesday, Hardware wallet firm Ledger revealed its plans to launch a limited edition of a brand new and exclusive hardware wallet, the Ledger Nano S Plus. The company has decided to make only 10,000 devices valued at $79 each for pre-ordering.
Moreover, the company has also partnered with POAP, an Ethereum-based Proof of Attendance Protocol. These protocols refer to the digital memories of NFTs by showing attendance and proof of engagement for crucial moments.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of POAP, Lucas Verra, “Securing and protecting your digital memories, like the POAP you can collect with your Ledger Nano S Plus, is a must for anyone building their lifelong collection.”
POAP will be producing limited-edition NFTs for the company’s future events. A special engraving will be included in the Genesis Edition of the Ledger Nano S Plus. A card redeemable for a Genesis POAP NFT will also be included with each shipment, allowing customers to carry proof of the special hardware wallet in their digital wallets as well.
“This partnership with POAP and launch of the Ledger Nano S Plus Genesis Edition at an affordable price marks the acknowledgment that digital assets will only increase as a tool for life experiences, and we want to bring millions more into Web3 securely; as it happens,” said Ian Rogers, hardware wallet giant’s chief experience officer.
Ledger, which is known for its products like Ledger Nano X with support for more than 1,000 crypto assets, is the first choice for its partnerships and activities in the crypto community. It recently partnered with the crypto exchange platform Coinbase to support hardware wallets. The exchange later integrated the Ledger hardware wallet for an extra layer of security.
The Ledger Nano S Plus is the company’s first hardware wallet after the launch of the Ledger Nano X in 2019. According to the company, over 4.5 million Ledger Nano hardware wallets have been sold, with its devices protecting nearly 20% of the world’s digital assets. The Nano S Plus accepts a wide range of digital assets, including over 5,500 coins and tokens as well as NFTs.
