M1 Finance to launch trading services and crypto trading accounts

American financial services company M1 Finance has announced that it is launching trading services and opening crypto trading accounts in the coming weeks.

According to the announcement, the 2015-founded company is diving into the crypto industry after it received multiple offers from people wanting to invest in crypto assets via its name. The blog post read:

“It has been the most requested asset addition, with roughly 50% of our surveyed users wanting to use M1 to invest in crypto.”

M1 Finance diving deep into the crypto space

In the upcoming weeks, M1 Finance customers will be able to invest in their unique crypto portfolio. According to M1 CEO Brian Barnes, this will give consumers the opportunity to invest their money according to their preferences at a low cost and with simple access. Brian outlined the fundamental ideas that underpin M1 Finance’s cryptocurrency offering, which includes putting an emphasis on investing over trading and keeping a diverse portfolio.

If it suits users’ risk tolerance and long-term perspective, adding it to the platform provides them the option to include this emerging asset class in their long-term investing strategy.

Brian wrote about how crypto can be a good investment option for users by stating:

“As an informed investor, it’s important to know that crypto can be a viable option to diversify your portfolio, explore alternative investments, and invest in emerging technology.”

Brian went on to add that M1 Finance is interested in seeing how the users opt to include Crypto Accounts in their portfolios. Users will soon be able to invest funds in digital assets and use automation tools to guarantee that their investment goals are met. 

As TheCoinRise reported earlier today, Brazilian digital payment firm PicPay is also planning to enter the crypto world by launching a fully-featured crypto exchange platform and a stablecoin. It has also planned to dive into the NFT and metaverse universe with the intention of developing a marketplace for users.
