Opensea, Cryptopunks and Axie Infinity Make Over $10 Billion in Sales

No doubts, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are the happening things right now, especially taking the world by storm in 2021. However, 3 major NFT projects have caught the eye of many, having seen their sales go into the billions. According to recent statistics, Opensea, Cryptopunks, and Axie Infinity have made over $10 billion in combined sales.

As we near the end of September, statistics show that the combined sales of all time for the aforementioned NFT projects have now surpassed the $10 billion mark. Also, it is important to note that all three projects are quite unique. First off, Opensea— which is presently the leader in NFT sales— is a platform where users can buy and sell a wide range of NFT collectibles from both the Ethereum and Polygon networks.

According to NFT market stats available on dappradar.com, Opensea has already made a whopping $6.85 billion in total sales from its 452,319 traders. And in the last month, it has made $3.78 billion in sales, an almost 74.26% increase in its monthly revenue.

The 3 NFT Projects Made Over $10 Billion in Combined Sales

In the NFT market stats released by dappradar.com on Friday, September 24, Axie Infinity also crossed the $2 billion mark. The blockchain game which leverages NFTs and a few native tokens saw a total of $2.17 billion in its all-time sales among its 640,376 traders. That is, the game made an amazing $574 million worth of NFT sales in just a month, according to the monthly records of Axie Infinity.

Finally, Cryptopunks is also now in the league of billion-dollar NFT projects. The NFT collection presently boasts of $1.33 billion in sales, from just 4,948 traders tallied by the metrics of dappradar.com.

Altogether, the 3 NFT projects— Opensea, Axie Infinity, and Cryptopunk— have realized a total of $10.35 billion in sales.

Confirming this report, dune.xyz records also show that nearly $8.53 billion worth of ether has been sold. And from their records, Cryptopunks is also listed as one of the Ethereum-based Nonfungible tokens projects responsible for the sales.
