Sale of Creepz NFT Skyrockets After Spotify Partnership

On Thursday in Hong Kong, the sales volume of Creepz by Overlord, a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) built on Ethereum, increased by 240%. The development occurred within 24 hours of Creepz creator Overlord’s announcement of a collaboration with Spotify.

Notably, Web3 gaming company Overlord debuted its NFT collection of more than 11,000 lizard avatars called Creepz by Overlord in January 2022.

Overlord revealed a new collaboration with Spotify on its Twitter account on February 22 at 22:00 UTC, which was Thursday morning in Asia. Due to the collaboration, Creepz users now have access to community-made playlists that support tokens.

Trading Volume of Creepz NFT Skyrockets 

As a general reaction to this news, Creepz NFT saw an increase in trading volume, sales, and floor price on February 23. Data from OpenSea shows that in the 24 hours, the sales showed an increase of 240%. 

The collection’s floor price increased by 27% to 2.25 Ether (US$3,719) as per OpenSea and by 41% to 2.25 Ether at LooksRare, the two markets where it is primarily traded.

The Creepz community will be a part of Kingship, a virtual NFT group consisting of the three Bored Ape Yacht Club and one Mutant Ape Yacht Club avatars contracted to Web3 label 10:22 PM by Universal Music Group, which has its own token-enabled Spotify playlist.

Spotify made a significant entry into the metaverse in may of last year with its goal of establishing a “sound paradise” for its users, replete with a variety of interactive activities. 

As a consequence, the biggest podcast and music streaming service in the world becomes the first in its industry to research the metaverse. 

The major audio streaming service, Spotify was included on the list of the 528 most innovative companies of the year in March as a result of its web 3.0 aspirations. Additionally, it was mentioned that it had begun testing the NFT gallery choice for musician profiles.
