Shytoshi Kusama’s Tweet Makes Shiba Inu Community Anxious

It looks like Shytoshi Kusama, one of Shiba Inu’s lead developers may be dropping a major announcement for the Shib community members soon.

No one knows for sure what the news is about but the Kusama update released a status tweet that says “We are not alone.” The four words status update has caused the internet to go agog with many community members trying to guess what he meant.

Markedly, Kusama has been circulating a series of cryptic messages in recent times. His Twitter location reads “With a new fren…guess who?” The Shib community members think that there may be a looming partnership between Shiba Inu and another crypto project somewhere which is yet to be finalised, they also attempted to link the post to the launch of the much-awaited release of the Shibarium Layer 2 solution.

As it stands, the community members are fingers-crossed and are anxiously waiting for the full details of the announcement.

Noteworthy, Shib community members are trying not to overthink his post, especially after he apologized for a special countdown tweet released on the Shiba Inu official Twitter account which ended up misleading users.

Shibarium Layer 2 Solution Comes in 2023

Shytoshi Kusama also did not forget to send out holiday wishes, while citing the importance of the coming year to humanity.

He encouraged everyone to make the most out of the few days leading to the end of the year. On the matter of the Shibarium Layer 2 solution, Kusama has re-emphasized that the launch is imminent but it would only be after the New Year. 

The plan is to use this new Layer 2 solution which comes with certain custom features to boost the scalability of Shiba Inu’s host chain Ethereum (ETH). Its launch would come with so much relief for the Shib token after all the hurdles it scaled through this year. Cumulatively, the memecoin tanked 90% this year from its all-time high in October 2021. 

Meanwhile, the atmosphere is turning up for Shib as the year draws to a close. In this last month of the year and amid the implosion of the FTX Derivatives Exchange, the number of its users grew steadily. Each day, there were at least 600 users added to its community according to Etherscan.
