Biotech Enterpreneur Shkreli Claims He Knows Satoshi Nakamoto

There are speculations that biotech entrepreneur Martin Shkreli may have exposed the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s (BTC) supposed founder.

In a Substack post, Shkreli claimed that former programmer and former mob boss Paul Le Roux may be the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Meanwhile, the ‘pharma boss’ was once publicized for increasing the rate of a life-saving drug by 5%.

Shkreli is known for being a notorious symbol of corporate greed. It appears that he has deciphered the very first transfer made to the late Bitcoin pioneer Hal Finney.

Satoshi Nakamoto was the pseudonym used by the entity (ies) behind the development of the first BTC software which was established in 2008. The name remained through till 2010 when the blockchain ecosystem expanded.

After this time, Nakamoto suddenly disappeared from the limelight until now when Shkreli is saying Le Roux is Nakamoto. If Shkreli’s claim turns out to be true, it would mean that Le Roux designed BTC as a money laundering tool to support his criminal enterprise. Moreover, a published Wired article clearly conveyed that Bitcoin was designed by a criminal mind.

Le Roux was apprehended ten years ago after he successfully fell into a trap that set for him by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

He was recorded by a paid informant during a spring operation organized by DEA. Eventually, the evidence against him earned him 25 years imprisonment starting in June. However, it was later reduced due to providing extensive assistance to the DEA.

Crypto Players Refute Shkreli’s Claim

Crypto community members are not having it at all and have failed to agree with the rumor.

Peter Wuille, a popular BTC core developer reiterated the fact that the blog post was probably perpetrated due to the fact that the person who signed the message gained access to Finney’s private keys.

Another popular developer Greg Maxwell refuted Shkreli’s claim citing that the so-called signature used by the ‘assumed’ Satoshi was not in existence until Finney’s own was out of the way. In his agreement, this means that someone is in control of Finney’s private keys.
