Elon Musk Changed His Twitter Bio to Reflect BAYC NFT Collage, APE Coin Soars

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and Chief Executive Officer of Tesla Inc has recently changed his Twitter Profile, and surprisingly, he changed it to a collage of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT Collection. 

Musk’s gesture is a highly significant one as it showcases he has been paying attention to various offshoots of the blockchain technology evolution, with Non-Fungible Token (NFT) being among. As a staunch lover of cryptocurrencies, Elon Musk once changed his Twitter bio to Bitcoin at a time when he was massively advocating for the premier cryptocurrency early in 2021.

Elon Musk’s love for crypto and pet dogs has also made him a prominent fan of Dogecoin (DOGE), and Shiba Inu (SHIB), both of whom share a similar theme featuring the Shiba Inu dog breed. His love for these crypto tokens is often always pronounced as he always shares memes and tweets about these coins, a gesture that has contributed immensely to their price valuation over time.

The upload of the BAYC Twitter profile comes off as one of the first moves Musk will be making since he won the bid to acquire the social media platform for $44 billion. The gesture will in no small measure stir up the publicity being given to the NFT collection seeing Elon Musk’s massive 90.7 million followers.

Upside Impact on the APE Tokens

The gesture from Elon Musk has undeniably tilted the odds in the favor of ApeCoin (APE) which has parred off some of the losses it accrued as investors dumped the coin after the launch of the Otherdeed NFT Collection on Saturday.

The token is up 2.81% in the past 24 hours to $15.13 according to data from CoinMarketCap. While the fact that Musk’s radar has now been shone on the NFT collection, we can expect occasional tweets from him over the next couple of weeks, a move that will undeniably boost the price of the token in the long run.

Also, it should be noted that the influence of Elon Musk’s pump and dump is also a very real one, and this might work against APE tokens if care is not taken.
