Eminem and Snoop Dogg, two legendary American rappers, will perform “From D 2 the LBC” live on the MTV-sponsored Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday. Holders of a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) membership may view this event live in the “Otherside” Metaverse. The song contains the performers’ own non-fungible tokens, which they paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy.
Snoop Dogg recently tweeted that he and Eminem will perform the song live on August 28 as part of the MTV-sponsored VMAs.

The addition of a new category this year called “the Best Metaverse Performance” by the organizers suggests that virtual reality projects will eventually play a large part in the yearly awards.
On Sunday, in addition to Eminem and Snoop Dogg, other performances at VMA include Twenty One Pilots, Justin Bieber, and Ariana Grande. VMAs have recently become one of the main events for music aficionados. Nearly 12.4 million people watched it live in 2011, but interest waned in the years that followed.
Talking about Eminem, it is important to note that the rap icon is not a newcomer to the world of cryptocurrencies. The 15-time Grammy winner will launch his NFT collection, Shady Con, in April 2021 in partnership with Nifty Gateway. On the other hand, Snoop Dogg launched his NFT collection worth $17 million last year, as TheCoinRise reported
The well-known musicians haven’t always made a strong team. Snoop Dogg has claimed in the past that Eminem shouldn’t be counted among the top 10 rappers of all time. The latter responded to the comment from his song “Zeus,” “Last thing I need is Snoop doggin’ me. you was like a damn god to me… Nah, not really (haha), I had “Dog” backwards.”
Shortly later, Snoop Dogg made it known that he had apologized to Eminem, claiming that the rapping industry is very competitive, leading to occasional excessive aggression.
When they jointly released the song “From the D 2 The LBC” in June of this year, the musicians appeared to have entirely put their issues behind them. They displayed their NFTs from the prestigious BAYC collection in this partially animated video.
