On Wednesday, Orange Comet, an art+entertainment firm specializing in Non-fungible token minting and promotion services, announced its collaboration with Welsh actor, director, and producer Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins to promote his inaugural NFT collection.

According to Orange Comet, this will be the first batch of the three-day NFT series “The Eternal Collection.” Collectors will have access to more than 1000 exclusive pictures of the actor based on several archetypes during this time. Vuele, a Web3 creative studio platform, allows the viewing and collecting exclusive feature films and digital art pieces.

The artist will greet attendees during a luncheon and welcome ceremony on the first day of the auction, and they will also receive an autographed Hopkins art book.

On the third day, 1,000 original artworks will be put up for sale, and 39 signed Hopkins art books will be given away at random to purchasers who want a close-up look at his poems and other works. Additionally, five customers will be chosen to participate in a video call with the actor over Discord.

NFT is a black canvas to create art in a new format: Hopkins

After his movie Zero Contact was released as an NFT on Vuele, Hopkins became more and more interested in creating an art collection that would celebrate his film career. Due to his intense interest, he even sought Snoop Dogg’s opinion before making his initial purchases.

Hopkins stated that “NFTs are a blank canvas to create art in a new format” in an interview with Yahoo Finance. He added that, regardless of age, NFTs enable mutual exchange of artistic inspiration with others.

“I’m probably the oldest guy in the NFT community and on social media, which proves all is possible at any age.”

The collection will be introduced on OpenSea in the middle of September, according to Orange Comet CEO Dave Broome. Ten of Hopkins’ most significant character archetypes, including Odin from Marvel’s “Thor” and Hannibal Lecter from “Silence of the Lambs,” will be included.

Interestingly, it has become common to celebrate something via visual appreciation. In December last year, RadioShack brought a new DeFi and NFT collection to celebrate its 100 years. A few days back, Coca-Cola unveiled a new NFT collection on the Polygon Chain, as TheCoinRise reported.
