Solana has Integrated AI via ChatGPT Plugin: Details

On May 23, the Solana Foundation, a renowned non-profit foundation, revealed that artificial intelligence (AI) has been integrated on Solana through a ChatGPT plugin created by Solana Labs.

ChatGPT Plugin Performs Several Functions 

With the development, ChatGPT plugin can now be used to buy nonfungible tokens (NFTs), transfer tokens, check transactions, decipher public account data, and locate NFT holdings on Solana by floor price. 

This AI plugin, which can be downloaded from GitHub, is going to “make it easier to understand Solana data and protocols, or surface data about Solana’s computing infrastructure and DeFi projects,” as per the sources. According to Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana: 

“Every developer building consumer-oriented apps should be thinking about how their app is going to be interacted with through an AI model because this is a new paradigm for telling computers what to do”

A 3-month University Student Accelerator Project On The Way

Additionally, the Solana Foundation declared that it will increase its initial contribution of $1 million to $10 million in order to finance projects investigating the interface of AI and the Solana blockchain.

The ongoing reward program, according to the developers, has already received 50 applications. The Solana Foundation has also begun a three-month university student accelerator project, with a complete cohort testing both blockchain and AI.

The developer noted: “The program received hundreds of applications from projects and contributors, and the AI cohort has already resulted in an ask Solana U chatbot.”

An Open-Source ChatGPT Plugin

The announcement followed a forecast made in April that Solana is anticipated to provide a feature that would allow users to connect to communicate with the blockchain via an open-source plugin activated on OpenAI’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, ChatGPT.
